Our upper skin (epidermis) is made of three layers. The most superficial one is called "stratum corneum" and encloses dead skin cells (keratinocytes) . This calloused skin is regularly scaled off but, if that regenerating process is perturbated, our body surface may loose its natural smoothness and freshness.
Chemical peelings help getting rid of those dead skin cells. They reduce sebum production, skin impurities and pigmentation disorders. Acne scars and small wrinkles are also addressed.
Unlike mechanical peelings, which contain small particles with an abrasive effect, chemical peelings litterally peel off the hard skin. They penetrate the superficial skin stimulating cell replication. Scaling off is accelerated and a new skin layer appears. Simultanousely collagen production in the intermediate skin layer (dermis) is promoted. The induced natural skin regeneration leads to a smooth and delicate new skin appearance.
- PRX-T33 is a chemical peeling containing trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and hydrogen peroxid (H2O2). TCA permits H2O2 to penetrate the upper skin layers and to launch a regeneration process. These substances have complementary actions and stimulate the local production of collagen.
